I can pack 18 pairs of shoes, right? Right??????

"United passengers flying on Economy are allowed to check one bag weighing no more than 50lbs. Bags weighing more than 50 pounds or any additional checked bags are subject to additional fees."

*Cue heart attack.* How am I supposed to pack my life into two 50 pound suitcases for five months? I pack an entire suitcase for a weekend trip. Going to Mexico? It might snow...better bring a jacket. Going home for the weekend? Yes, mom, I do need all 9 pairs of shoes that I brought. Packing is NOT my forte...that's for sure.

Packing for Malta has been a process for months. Literally..months. I've been planning and list-making since late September when I got accepted into the program. I've had one suitcase packed since Thanksgiving break and a pile of things gathered in the corner of my room since...well... before that. Knowing that I can't just come back for something I forget is rather terrifying for my "type-a" self.

Packing will probably be one of the most stressful parts of my trip. Honestly, I'm okay with that. I know once I manage to fit my life in two suitcases, the rest will be smooth sailing. I hope.
